The Broad River Fire & Rescue Auxiliary is a dedicated group of volunteers who support the firefighters, emergency responders, and mission of the Broad River Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.

While department members respond to emergencies throughout the Broad River community, Auxiliary members provide essential behind-the-scenes assistance that helps keep the department prepared, connected, and supported.

The Auxiliary offers an excellent opportunity for residents to serve their community without becoming an emergency responder. No firefighting or medical experience is required - only a willingness to help.

What the Auxiliary Does

Auxiliary members assist the department through a variety of support and community activities, which may include:

Incident Support

During extended emergency incidents, Auxiliary members may assist with:

• Providing meals, drinks, and refreshments for emergency personnel

• Supporting firefighter rehabilitation and recovery needs

• Delivering supplies to emergency scenes

• Assisting department members and their families during major incidents

Fundraising

The Auxiliary helps organize and support fundraising activities that provide additional resources for the department.

Fundraising efforts may help support:

• Firefighter protective equipment

• Emergency response equipment

• Training programs

• Station improvements

• Community outreach activities

• Other department needs

Community Events

Auxiliary members help the department maintain a strong connection with the Broad River community by supporting:

• Open houses

Department Support

Auxiliary members may also assist with:

• Preparing meals for training sessions and department meetings

Who Can Join?

You do not need previous fire department experience to become involved. Auxiliary members contribute based on their interests, abilities, and availability.
